Bulldogs Drop Home League Game to Campbell

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Two Bulldogs finished in double figures in UNC Asheville's 70-53 Big South Conference home loss to Campbell on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Kimmel Arena.
DeVon Baker led the Bulldogs (2-16, 0-4 Big South) in the game with 15 points. He also had six rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
LJ Thorpe ended his efforts with 11 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals for UNC Asheville.
As a team, UNC Asheville closed out the game shooting 46.7 percent (21-of-45). The Bulldogs held Campbell to just 38.5 percent (25-of-65) shooting.
Two Camels (9-8, 2-1 Big South) finished the game in double figures with Big South Preseason Player of the Year Chris Clemons leading all in the game with 22 points.

LJ Thorpe made his first career start for UNC Asheville in the game with Campbell. The redshirt freshman guard finished with 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting.
