UNC Asheville Featured on Sunday by NCAA Volleyball

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville volleyball was featured on Sunday, Aug. 26, by the NCAA on its volleyball social media accounts.
The play featured was a beautiful kick save by junior Julia Borges that eventually led to a Bulldog point.
Borges finished her first weekend in a Bulldog uniform with 23 kills. The junior right side from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil averaged 2.56 kills per set in UNC Asheville's three matches in the tournament.
She was named to the UNC Asheville Invitational All-Tournament Team.

UNC Asheville volleyball will next travel to Chattanooga, Tenn. to compete in the Chattanooga Classic.
UNC Asheville will first face off against host Chattanooga of the Southern Conference at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 31. The Bulldogs will then face new Atlantic Sun Conference member North Alabama at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1. UNC Asheville will then conclude its time at the tournament by taking on Tennessee State of the Ohio Valley Conference at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1.
