Borges and Guthrie Named to UNC Asheville Invitational All-Tournament Team

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Junior Julia Borges and senior Cara Guthrie were chosen to the 2018 UNC Asheville Invitational All-Tournament Team after the conclusion of the event at the Justice Center on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018.
Borges finished her first weekend in a Bulldog uniform with 23 kills. The junior right side from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil averaged 2.56 kills per set in UNC Asheville's three matches in the tournament.
A preseason All-Big South Conference selection, Guthrie ended the UNC Asheville Invitational with 3.67 kills and 1.89 digs per set. The senior outside hitter from Jupiter, Fla. finished with 33 kills and 17 digs in total. She also had six service aces on the weekend.
