Juday Named to Big South All-Academic Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - UNC Asheville senior right-handed pitcher Jesse Juday was named to the Big South Conference All-Academic Team.
The postseason awards were announced by the league office on Tuesday, May 22.Â
Juday graduated from UNC Asheville this spring with a degree in engineering with a concentration in mechatronics.Â
During his four-year Bulldog career, he maintained a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.634. During his senior season, he earned a fall GPA of 3.823 and capped off his final year in Asheville with a 3.845 GPA. In fact every semester at UNC Asheville, he was on the Big South Presidential Honor Roll. He was also on the Dean's list for six semesters.
With his mechatronics engineering degree, Juday was ranked sixth out of 54 people in his class. He also earned distinction and cum laude honors from UNC Asheville.
As a two-time Ashby Scholar-Athlete award winner, he was also a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society.
On the diamond this year, Juday was a key reliever for the Bulldogs. The Greensboro, N.C. native appeared in a team-high 25 games, where he only allowed 15 earned runs in 25.1 innings of work.
