UNC Asheville Continues to Shine in the Classroom in the Spring of 2018

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville student-athletes put together another incredibly strong semester in the classroom in the spring of 2018.
In fact, over 61 percent (125) of UNC Asheville's 204 student-athletes in the spring of 2018 ended their efforts in the semester with a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher to earn Honor Roll honors.
In total, the 204 UNC Asheville student-athletes in the spring of 2018 combined for a 3.157 grade-point average.
Even more impressive was the fact that 63 Bulldogs finished with a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher to garner Dean's list accolades, while 21 were named to the Chancellor's List with perfect 4.0 grade-point averages.
Among the men's sports at UNC Asheville, track and field for the second consecutive semester had the best semester in the classroom in the spring with a 3.337 team grade-point average. In addition, UNC Asheville women's golf for the second straight semester took top honors among the women's teams in the spring with a 3.596 team grade-point average.
"The commitment of our student-athletes in the classroom at UNC Asheville is second-to-none," UNC Asheville Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone said. "It was a special spring of 2018 for our athletics department and I look forward to our student-athletes embracing 'The Pursuit of Champions and Leaders' in the 2018-19 athletic year."
