Three Bulldogs Join Inaugural Asheville City Soccer Club for 2018 Season

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Seniors Caroline Houser and Emma Houser along with freshman Bryson Lee have officially signed to play with the inaugural Asheville City Soccer Club over the summer.
ACSC officially launched on Nov. 2, 2017, but the official launch party is set for April 19, at Hi-Wire's Big Top at 6:30 p.m.
On its official announcement day, Asheville City revealed its head coach for the inaugural season - Stacey Enos. Enos has several years of coaching experience, including six years at Utah State and 17 seasons at Warren Wilson. Earlier this season, ACSC announced its Associate Head Coach, which is a familiar face for the Bulldogs - Joey Sasvari. He was an Assistant Coach for UNC Asheville for three seasons and was an assistant last season for the men's ACSC team.
Asheville City will open its inaugural season playing in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL), which is a semi-professional organization that has over 100 teams nation-wide.
ACSC starts its season on Saturday, May 5, versus Chattanooga FC. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. at Memorial Stadium in downtown Asheville. To view the entire schedule, click HERE.
Caroline Houser ended her four-year career at Asheville as the program's leader in assists (24). Last season, Caroline Houser netted four goals and tallied three assists in 18 starts. Emma Houser also started all 18 games, where she posted a pair of goals and a trio of assists. Freshman goalkeeper Lee started all 18 games for Asheville last year. She totaled 1,675 minutes and earned a 1.88 goals against average along with two shutouts.
