UNC Asheville Athletics Participates in 'Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day'

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville athletics participated in the annual "Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" on Thursday, April 26, 2018.
UNC Asheville athletics held a special session during the event where Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement Alexander Achorn set up an obstacle course for all in attendance to enjoy.
The obstacle course featured many athletic pursuits with the timed event including golf, volleyball, soccer and basketball.
The children in attendance were also given a tour of the athletic facilities by Achorn.
The athletic portion of the event coordinated by Human Resources included an appearance by UNC Asheville mascot Rocky, who even ran the obstacle course.
UNC Asheville volleyball student-athletes Kailey Hackett and Carter Kennedy also helped out to make sure all of the children had a fantastic time.
After leaving the athletics portion of the day at the Sherrill Center, the children in attendance also had the chance to learn about many of the great things happening at UNC Asheville, which included learning about bees, physics and much more.
