Three Bulldogs Receive Postseason Honors from Big South Conference

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville's Bronaza Fitzgerald and Khaila Webb were both chosen All-Big South Conference.
The league office released the 2017-18 Big South Women's Basketball All-Conference Awards on Tuesday, March 6.
Fitzgerald was selected as a first-team selection, while Webb was a second-team choice.
In addition, Tiffany Wilson was selected to the Big South Women's Basketball All-Academic Team.
Fitzgerald just missed on averaging a double-double for the 2017-18 regular season. The senior center from Danville, Va. averaged 14.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per game during the regular season for the Bulldogs.
Fitzgerald was first in the league in offensive rebounds and she was second in rebounding and in field goal percentage. Fitzgerald was third in the league in defensive rebound, fourth in scoring and sixth in blocked shots.
Fitzgerald totaled 14 double-doubles during the regular season. This year, Fitzgerald also set single-game career highs in points (24) and rebounds (17).
Webb concluded her senior regular season averaging 13.3 points and 2.8 assists per game. She totaled 386 points this year en route to eclipsing 1,000 career points.
The senior guard from Spartanburg, S.C. started all 29 games and averaged 33.7 minutes per game. In the league, she was third in free-throw percentage, sixth in assists per game, seventh in scoring, seventh in field goal percentage and seventh in minutes per game.
Webb posted nine games where she scored over 15 points and four games where she had over 20 points during the regular season.
A redshirt junior, Wilson currently boasts a 3.86 grade-point average as a double major in Health and Wellness Promotions and Psychology.
This season, Wilson set single-game career highs in starts, blocks and rebounds per game. She posted a career-best 12 rebounds at Charleston Southern.
Third-seeded UNC Asheville will next play No. 6 Campbell on Friday, March 9, in Lynchburg, Va. at 8 p.m. The Bulldogs will be facing off against the Camels in the quarterfinal round of the 2018 Big South Women's Basketball Championship.
