No. 3 UNC Asheville to Play No. 6 Campbell on March 9 in Big South Conference Tournament

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Big South Conference announced the women's basketball seedings for the conference tournament, and No. 3-seeded UNC Asheville will play No. 6 Campbell on Friday, March 9, in Lynchburg, Va. at 8 p.m.
The Bulldogs will play the Camels in the quarterfinal round, which tips at 8 p.m. in the Vines Center.Â
Liberty earned the No. 1 overall seed after being named the out-right Big South Conference Regular-Season Champion. The Flames - who are hosting the Big South Conference Tournament - finished the 2018 season 21-9 overall and 16-2 in league play. Radford earned the No. 2 seed, while the Bulldogs earned the three seed. High Point claimed the fourth seed, and the Panthers will play No. 5 Presbyterian at 2 p.m. on March 9.
In the first round of the tournament, No. 8 Charleston Southern will square off with No. 9 Longwood to open the tournament on March 8 at 6 p.m. After falling to UNC Asheville on Saturday, No. 7 Gardner-Webb will play No. 10 Winthrop at 8 p.m. on Thursday.Â
The semifinal games will start at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, on ESPN3, and the championship game will tip at 2 p.m. on March 11 inside the Vines Center.
Head-to-Head Versus Campbell
The Bulldogs swept the regular-season series versus the Camels. The Bulldogs won the first meeting of the season, 60-52, at Campbell, and UNC Asheville claimed the 38-33 victory in a defensive battle in Asheville, N.C.Â
UNC Asheville and Campbell will meet for the 42nd all-time meeting between the two clubs, as the Camels hold the narrow 21-20 advantage. The Bulldogs have won three straight head-to-head games versus the Camels.Â
