WBI Tickets On Sale for First Round of Postseason Tournament

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville Department of Athletics announced on Tuesday that tickets are officially on sale for the the first round of the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI), which will take place on Thursday, March 15, at 7 p.m. inside Kimmel Arena versus Furman.

Tickets for the WBI can be purchased online by clicking HERE

Fans can also purchase tickets by visiting the UNC Asheville box office in person inside Kimmel Arena. Fans can also call the box office at 828-258-7900.

All tickets are general admission, and gates will open one hour prior to tipoff.

Adult tickets are $10, and students (ages 5-college) will cost only $5. Kids 4-years-old or younger are free.

Fans that purchased season tickets for the 2017-18 season will have to purchase tickets for the postseason tournament. Seat availability cannot be guaranteed because all tickets are general admission.

The WBI invited 16 teams to play in the prestigious tournament, and the Bulldogs were selected as one of eight teams to host the opening round of the tournament. 

The winner between UNC Asheville and Furman will advance to play the winner of South Alabama and Stetson. The second round contest will take place on Sunday, March 18 or Monday, March 19 with the host location to be determined.

With the postseason invitation, it marks the third straight year the Bulldogs have been selected to participate in postseason play. It marks the first time the Bulldogs have played in the WBI since the tournament's inception in 2010.
