UNC Asheville Drops Road Game at Wofford

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Three Bulldogs finished in double figures in UNC Asheville's 92-49 loss to Wofford on Saturday, Dec. 15, at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium.
Cress Worthy ended his efforts with a career-best 12 points for the Bulldogs on 50 percent shooting. Worthy also had two assists, two steals and one block.
UNC Asheville's DeVon Baker collected 11 points to go along with three assists, two rebounds and two steals.
Coty Jude finished with 10 points for the Bulldogs. He also had three rebounds.
Wofford (9-3) had four players in double figures with Cameron Jackson and Nathan Hoover both leading the Terriers and all scorers in the game with 18 points each.
UNC Asheville (1-9) concluded the game shooting 36.4 percent (16-of-44) as a team. The Bulldogs closed out the evening shooting 72.2 percent (13-of-18) from the charity stripe.
Wofford shot 55.9 percent (33-of-59) as a team. They connected on 54.2 percent (13-of-24) of their three-point attempts. The Terriers were 13-of-17 (76.5 percent) as a team from the free throw line.

The Bulldogs will next travel to DeLand, Fla. on Tuesday, Dec. 18 to take on Stetson for the first time since 1991. UNC Asheville and Stetson are scheduled to tip things off at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
