Men’s Tennis Finishes Play at Charlotte 49ers Fall Invitational

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville men's tennis finished play at the Charlotte 49ers Fall Invitational at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018.
In the A1 singles portion of the event, UNC Asheville's Olly Cull picked up two wins on Sunday. Cull first picked up a 6-3, 7-5 win over Jacob Bicknell of Elon.
Cull then shook off a first set loss to rebound for a 0-6, 6-4, 7-6 (5) win over Kyle Frankel of Elon.
Oli Nolan collected a 6-2, 6-1 win over Sam Kavarana of Davidson in A1 singles on Sunday.
In A2 singles, UNC Asheville's Charlie Morkel fell 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 to Leonardo Menezes of Charlotte.
In the B1 singles section, UNC Asheville's Edward Colclough bested Jack Burkill of UNCG 6-7 (8), 7-6 (0), 6-1 before dropping his next match to Roger Rogokowski of UNCG 6-2, 7-5.
UNC Asheville's Leo Bierbaum secured a 6-3, 6-4 win over Doug Macintosh of Davidson in B1 singles before narrowly falling 6-2, 6-7 (6), 7-5 to Sam Rice of Charlotte.
Finlay Ray McFadyen of UNC Asheville opened his Sunday with a 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 over Ventura Durall of Gardner-Webb before falling 6-4, 6-4 to Javi Casasolas of Wofford in the finals of the C1 singles section.
UNC Asheville's Andrew Sinai secured a 6-3, 7-6 (4) win over Logan Blaser of UNCG in C1 singles on Sunday.
