UNC Asheville Returns Home for CCSA Meet Versus Gardner-Webb

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – After being on the road for three weeks, the UNC Asheville swimming & diving team returns to Asheville for a Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) meet versus Gardner-Webb on Friday, Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. in the Justice Pool.
BULLDOG BITES
Last Time Out – at Davidson and versus VMI
UNC Asheville split at the double dual meet in Davidson, N.C., as it fell to Davidson, 140-138, and downed VMI, 216-63.
Overall the Bulldogs won eight individual events at the meet. Morgan Ruleivch claimed three victories in the 100 breaststroke, 50 free and 200 breaststroke. Her teammates Skylar Rogan and Madison Rogan each won two events. Skylar Rogan won two distance events (1000 free and 500 free), while her twin sister won the 200 butterfly and 400 individual medley.
Also highlighting last weekend's meet was sending out three divers to compete for the first time ever. The Bulldog trio competed on the 1m diving event. Alyssa Vincent placed second with 146.25 points, while Veronica Judson and Kerigan Martin finished third and fourth, respectively.
About the Meet
The CCSA meet against Gardner-Webb will mark the fourth conference dual meet of the season. The Bulldogs are 1-2 in league meets with their lone victory being a 141-121 win over North Florida on the road.
The meet versus the Runnin' Bulldogs on Friday will begin at 5 p.m. and will be held in the Justice Center Pool.

The two Bulldog squads meet in the pool last year, and the Runnin' Bulldogs edged Asheville, 202-176. Last year's meet was an all-relay meet, as both squads competed in 10 events.
UNC Asheville won five events last year – 3 x 100 backstroke relay, 800 freestyle relay, 500 freestyle relay, 3 x 500 freestyle relay and 4 x 100 individual medley relay.
