Baseball Night Huge Success on Friday Night at Highland Brewing

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Sponsored by Highland Brewing, Vannoy Construction, Twisted Laurel and Biltmore Farms Hotels, the UNC Asheville baseball team hosted a successful Baseball Night in Asheville as three-time MLB All-Star Greg Holland, Chancellor Joe Urgo, Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone and Head Baseball Coach Scott Friedholm all spoke in front of a sold out crowd at Highland Brewing.
With the 2018 baseball season just four weeks away, the Bulldogs held live auctions on three great prizes as well as a multitude of silent auctions ranging from a signed and framed Tom Brady jersey, a signed and framed Hank Aaron jersey, a Lawrence Taylor signed jersey and an UNC Asheville baseball package among many other great prizes.
The Asheville baseball season kicks off on Feb. 16 for a three-game series at Lipscomb. The first home game for the Bulldogs is on March 6 as they host ACC member Boston College for a 4 p.m. first pitch at Greenwood Field.
