First Day of Big South Baseball Championship Pushed Back Due to Weather

LEXINGTON, S.C. – Tuesday's opening round of the Big South Conference Baseball Championship Presented by Hardee's has been delayed due to constant rain in the area around the Lexington County Baseball Stadium.

The Big South Conference officials announced that the opening round is now scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 24, at approximately 9:30 a.m. depending on weather.

UNC Asheville, the No. 6 seed in the tournament, will play in the second game of the week against No. 3 Seed Presbyterian College. The game between the Bulldogs and the Blue Hose will start shortly after the conclusion of game-one.

UNC Asheville athletics will pass along more updates as they are made available.
