Join the Women’s Basketball Team for NCAA Women’s Tournament Watch Party

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville athletics department will host a watch party on Monday, March 13, at 7 p.m. in the Mountain View Room of the Wilma M. Sherrill Center to find out the opponent and location for the women's basketball team's 2017 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament trip.
Fans, alumni, supporters and boosters alike are invited to join the team, coaches and UNC Asheville staff at this special event.
The 2017 Women's Basketball NCAA Tournament Selection Show will air at 7 p.m. on ESPN and the WatchESPN app.
Seventh-seeded UNC Asheville (19-14) became the first Big South Conference women's basketball team to win four games in four days and claim the Big South Conference Women's Basketball Championship with a 49-48 win over top-seeded Radford at the Vines Center Sunday afternoon.
UNC Asheville also became the first seventh seed to win the Big South Conference Women's Basketball Championship with their impressive run.
The Bulldogs' third league title overall and second straight advances Asheville to the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs will learn of their 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship destination during the Selection Show that will be carried live on ESPN at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 13.
UNC Asheville took three spots on the 2017 Big South Conference Women's Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team with sophomore guard Sonora Dengokl, junior center Bronaza Fitzgerald and senior guard Chatori Major all earning a spot on the team. Dengokl was chosen as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.
