ASHEVILLE, N.C.—The UNC Asheville men's tennis team will continue their road swing with a weekend of tennis away from home ahead of them. First the Bulldogs will travel to Charlotte, N.C. to face off with the 49ers at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex this Friday, March 3 at 2 p.m. Asheville will then travel to Buies Creek, N.C. the following day, Saturday, March 4, to face Campbell at the James R. Nisbet Tennis Center. The match will be the Camels' conference opener and is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.

BULLDOG BITES
LAST TIME OUT: Last Monday Asheville fell, 4-3, at the hands of the Wofford Terriers. Henry Patten continued his stellar start to the season, improving to 9-0 in singles play in which he has yet to drop a single set. Alongside Josh Swindler, the No. 1 doubles pairing is 8-1 on the season.

SCOUTING CHARLOTTE: After winning their first five matches of the season the 49ers have dropped six straight. Coincidentally, Charlotte handed Campbell their only loss of the season, 4-1, in what was the season opener for the 49ers.

SCOUTING CAMPBELL: The Camels have had a very successful month of February, riding an eight match win streak. Campbell is one of the few teams in the Big South who boast an undefeated singles player. In fact they have four unbeaten players in Gerard Sola at 9-0, Fernando Clemente at 6-0, Nicolas Rakitin at 4-0, and Lorenz Schwab at 4-0. The combination of Sola and Jonathan O'Neal are also 8-0 in doubles play.

UP NEXT: Following this weekend's action, the Bulldogs will return home to host West Liberty University at the Asheville Racquet Club on Friday, March 10. Start time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
