ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville swimming team travels to Buies Creek, N.C. on Nov. 4 to take on Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) rival Campbell at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Aquatic Center.
BULLDOG BITES
Last Time Out
The Bulldogs won last weekend against CCSA rival Georgia Southern in their third meet of the regular season - 155-107. The 48-point victory marked a program first for the Bulldogs as it was the first time they had ever defeated the Eagles. The most recent meet versus the Eagles was last year as the Bulldogs fell 168-94.
Despite the 74-point loss a year ago, the Bulldogs bounced back last weekend and won 11 of the 14 events. They had individual victories from seniors Emily Werth and Alejandra Sanchez Garcia, junior Morgan Rulevich and sophomores Catherine Allen, Madison Rogan and Skylar Rogan.
Rulevich had a personal victory as she broke her own school record by 0.02 seconds in the 100 freestyle with a 51.60. After her record-setting performance, the CCSA honored her as the Swimmer of the Week, which marked the second time in Bulldogs history to earn the accolade.

Saturday's meet will be the second away meet of the season for the Bulldogs. The next meet will be the Midseason Fall Frenzy Invite, which is hosted by Queens University on Nov. 16-18.

The first event will begin at 11 a.m. with the 400 medley relay at the Johnson Aquatic Center.
Quotable
"I am looking forward to the meet against Campbell. These past couple of meets have been amazing as we have gone out with a winning mentality. We are a great team that knows how to have fun and be aggressive in the pool. I can't wait to see my teammates swim fast this weekend."
