ASHEVILLE, N.C. – To open its home portion of the regular season, the UNC Asheville women's basketball team hosts Charlotte on Saturday, Nov. 18 inside Kimmel Arena. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.

About UNC Asheville
 
The Bulldogs dropped their second game of the regular season (87-55) as they traveled to NC State on Wednesday. Three Bulldogs posted career bests in Raleigh as Jessica Wall knocked down five three-pointers, Ali Trani posted 10 points and Brooke Jordan-Brown blocked a pair of shots. Senior guard Khaila Webb along with Wall and Trani carried most of the load as the trio scored 40 of the team's 55 points. Bronaza Fitzgerald paced the Bulldogs in her first game of her senior season as she grabbed six rebounds along with six points. Amaryah Corpening led the freshmen class as she totaled seven points and two assists in 21 minutes of play.
 
On the year, Webb leads Asheville in points per game with 13.5 as she has shot .423 from the field during her senior season. Right behind her is Wall, who is averaging 12 points per contest as she is shooting lights-out behind the three-point arch - .471 (8-for-17). Sophomore Juliet Esadah leads the squad as she has grabbed 11 boards in her first year as a Bulldog.
 
At the Big South Conference Media Day, the Bulldogs were selected to finish fifth, despite receiving the second-highest amount of first-place votes in the league. Radford earned seven of the total first-place votes as the Highlanders were selected the win the league.
 
UNC Asheville opens its conference portion of the schedule on Jan. 2 at Campbell followed by the conference home opener on Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. versus High Point.
 
Scouting Charlotte
 
Already heading into its fourth game of the regular season, Charlotte sports a 1-2 record. It dropped two contests to Power Five schools – at Wisconsin (80-66) and vs. Rutgers (77-54). The 49ers lone win on the year was in their season opener as they hosted Duquesne and won by three points (75-72).
 
Four 49ers are averaging double-digits in points this year as Octavia Wilson and Amaya Ransom are leading the team with 15.3 points per game. Nyilah Jamison is third on the squad with 10.7 points per game, and Laia Raventos rounds out the double-digit scorers for Charlotte as she averages 10 points per game.
 
As a team, Charlotte is shooting .361 from the field while allowing opponents to shoot .457 and .381 behind the three-point arch. The frontcourt for the 49ers is strong as it has recorded 11 blocks this year (3.67 per game) while averaging 37 rebounds per game.

In addition, UNC Asheville All-Sport Passes are still available. The All-Sport Pass gives fans the chance to attend Bulldog men's and women's basketball, volleyball and baseball for one low price.

The All-Sport reserved seat pass for basketball is just $300 for adults with the price $150 for youth. The general admission All-Sport pass is just $175 for adults and $125 for youth.

UNC Asheville faculty, staff and alumni receive an additional 10 percent off their season ticket and All-Sport purchases.
