ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's and women's basketball teams will be heavily featured by ESPN, Stadium and many others over the course of the 2017-18 basketball seasons.
In addition to the numerous appearances by the Bulldogs on the ESPN family of networks and on Stadium, UNC Asheville men's and women's basketball will also once again be locally televised six times in the upcoming basketball season by WMYA-TV, My 40.
The Bulldog men also have the chance to appear on ESPNU as part of the ESPNU Wildcard selections that will be announced as the season progresses.
All UNC Asheville men's and women's basketball home games at Kimmel Arena that are not televised or carried by ESPN3 or Stadium will be streamed live on the Big South Network.
UNC Asheville women's basketball head coach Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick is thrilled to be able to have Bulldog basketball featured so prominently.
"We are excited about the extended coverage for our basketball programs this season," Kirkpatrick said. "Both programs are working extremely hard to put a championship product on the floor for our campus community and fans across the region. The added television and media exposure are certainly helpful vehicles to promote the quality brand of UNC Asheville men's and women's basketball."
UNC Asheville men's basketball head coach Nick McDevitt also knows it is huge for the Bulldog brand to receive such great coverage.
"We're excited about all the opportunities we have this season to showcase our program, both on a regional and national level," McDevitt said. "It will allow us to continue promoting the UNC Asheville brand."
