Bulldogs Begin Tough Stretch with Three Games in Virginia

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville hits the road to Virginia to begin a stretch of five games in five days, and eight games in nine days overall, starting with a three-game Big South Conference series at Longwood. The Bulldogs and Lancers will face off Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 p.m., while Monday's finale will be a 1:00 p.m. start. The series was pushed back from its normal Friday-Sunday schedule due to forecasted precipitation on Thursday and Friday in the Farmville area.
The Bulldogs return home for five games, beginning with midweek games against Furman (Tuesday) and UNC Greensboro (Wednesday) before hosting Big South Conference foe Gardner-Webb beginning next Friday night.
NOTABLES
Guy Streaking: Pete Guy takes a 27 game on-base streak into the weekend series, the second-longest in the Scott Friedhom-era behind former Bulldog Hunter Bryant's 34 game on-base streak last season. Guy has started and played in all 42 games to date this season.
