ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville makes the short trip to take on Western Carolina Tuesday afternoon in a matchup between a pair of hot teams. Asheville has won six of its last 10 games and is coming off a series victory at Charleston Southern, while Western Carolina has won eight of its last 10 games, including two games over the weekend.
NOTABLES
Midweek Uptick: Asheville has had little success during midweek contests this season, holding a 3-7 record to date. However, the Bulldogs are coming off back-to-back midweek wins – at UNC (4/6) and against ETSU (4/13).
Series of Wins: Asheville's series win at Charleston Southern was the Bulldogs' second Big South series victory, joining the Presbyterian series (April 1-3). The last time Asheville won multiple BSC series in a season was during the 2012 campaign, when it won four conference series.
