Men's Tennis Opens Conference Play at Liberty on Saturday

LYNCHBURG – The UNC Asheville Men's Tennis team travels to Lynchburg, Virginia to open their 2016 Big South Conference season against the Liberty Flames.
NOTABLES
Head-to-Head: These two teams last met in the quarterfinal round of the Big South Conference tournament in the 2014-15 season. Liberty as the number two seed, and Asheville as the seven seed, the Flames defeated the Bulldogs (4-2) to continue to the semifinal round.
Last Time Out: The Bulldogs' last match was on Saturday, February 26 against the Gamecocks of South Carolina held at Clemson University. The Gamecocks defeated the Bulldogs 7-0. Asheville's pair of Alex Crocker and Olly Cull battled for a doubles win, but fell 7-6 on the top court. USC swept the remaining singles matches to come out with the win.
Scouting Liberty: The Flames are 5-5 so far this season, and 2-1 in their past three matches. Liberty has collected their first conference victory over the Longwood Lancers (7-0), with their last loss (0-4) coming to No. 25 Florida State on February 20.
