ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville Men's Tennis team will look to snap a two-match losing streak when it steps out of Big South Conference play for a Friday afternoon non-conference matchup against Georgia Southern at 2:00 p.m. and then turns around to host USC Upstate Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
NOTABLES
Out of League: The Bulldogs have a 4-3 non-conference record this season, with victories over Appalachian State, Wofford, Tennessee Tech and King. Asheville hasn't had a non-conference match since its loss at South Carolina back on February 27, as the Bulldogs have had three Big South matches since. Asheville is 1-2 to date in league play, but plays its final two non-conference matches in the upcoming days.
Hanging out at Home: Asheville holds a 3-1 record at home on the Asheville Racquet Club courts this season, and will have plenty of chances to improve on that record. Including the two matches in the next two days, the Bulldogs have six remaining home matches, running through April 2. The lone Asheville away match will come in the team's regular season finale, April 10 at Radford and then the Big South Championships that will be held at Liberty beginning April 13.
UP NEXT
Following this weekend's matches, the Bulldogs return to the Asheville Racquet Club next Wednesday when they get back into Big South Conference play and welcome Gardner-Webb to town.
