Men's Tennis to Host Wofford in Home Opener at ARC Saturday

ASHEVILLE – The UNC Asheville Men's Tennis team will host the Wofford Terriers in their first home match of the spring season this Saturday, February 6, at 3:00p.m. at the Asheville Racquet Club.
NOTABLES
Head-to-Head- The last time the Bulldogs and the Terriers faced off in the spring was in the 2012-13 season. The Terriers bested the Bulldogs 4-3. Asheville swept the doubles matches, but Wofford answered with four singles wins to close out the match.
Dominant Dogs- After two matches this season, The Bulldogs have two players that remain undefeated in singles play: Thomas Orestis-Panoulas and Brett Landau. Both players have only dropped one set in singles play.
Down to the Wire- Both of Asheville's matches this season have been decided by one point. In their first match of the season, the Bulldogs fell to UNC Greensboro on the road. Asheville put on a dominate performance in doubles play, but the Spartans collected four singles points to put the Bulldogs away. In Sunday's match at Appalachian State, Asheville got off to a slow start, surrendering the doubles point to a mountaineer sweep, but the Bulldogs rallied back to take the match 4-3.
