ASHEVILLE – The UNC Asheville Men's Tennis team welcomes King University this Sunday, February 21 in a non-conference matchup at the Asheville Racquet Club starting at 2:00 p.m.
NOTABLES
Head-to-Head- The last time these two teams met was in February of the 2014-15 season. Asheville collected a 7-0 win over the Tornado at home in the Asheville Racquet Club. The Bulldogs swept the Tornado in both doubles and singles play.
Last Time Out: Asheville is coming off of a tough loss (1-6) at Furman last Wednesday, February 10 in Greenville. The Bulldogs picked up two wins in doubles play to earn the first point and start the match 1-0. The Paladins responded with six straight singles wins to drop the Bulldogs to 3-2 in preseason play.
Home Court Advantage: The Bulldogs are 2-0 at home this season, picking up wins against Wofford (5-2) and Tennessee Tech (4-3) on February 6 and 7. Asheville picked up the crucial doubles point in both matches.Three Bulldogs remain undefeated in singles play on their home court: Henry Patten, Brett Landau and Josh Swindler.
