Bulldogs Dive in to Day One of CCSA Championships

ATHENS, Ga. – The UNC Asheville Women's Swimming team travels to Athens, Georgia for the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Swimming and Diving Championships held February 17-20. Asheville is one of 10 teams that will be competing in the 2015-16 Championships.

NOTABLES

First Up: The first swim session begins at 6:00 p.m. with the 200 Yard Medley. This evening's session will feature six events, two of which are women's swimming events.

Clocking In: In the first event of the evening, the 200 yard Medley Relay, the Bulldogs bring a best time of 1:46.38 from the team of Jessica Woolfe, Alessandra Troncoso, Alexandra van Dorsten and Morgan Rulevich.

Diving In: Going into this year's Championships, the Bulldogs sit in sixth place with an overall record of 4-3 and a conference record of 3-3. Asheville has amassed 651.9 points during the regular season. Florida Gulf Coast leads the CCSA with 786.3 points going into the Championship meet.

Rising to the Occasion: In last year's Championships, Asheville produced its highest finish in program history, landing in seventh place with 422 points. The Bulldogs set 15 new records during the three day event (10 team and 5 freshman records).
