Asheville Continues Big South Win-Streak with 1-0 Victory Over GWU

ASHEVILLE, N.C- The UNC Asheville men's soccer team extended their Big South Conference win-streak to three with a 1-0 victory over the Runnin' Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb on Greenwood Field Wednesday night.
The Bulldogs' only goal was scored early in the first half. In the ninth minute of play, Devin Francis served a long ball to Luiz Dantas who broke away from the pack and chipped it in to the lower right corner of the box. Dantas' goal was his first collegiate, made on his first collegiate start.
Overall, the Runnin' Bulldogs out-shot the Bulldogs 16-10, on which Asheville keeper Chris Katt made 11 saves.

-GWU took seven corner kicks to Asheville's five.
-The Asheville defense made 13 saves to GWU's one.
