Lynchburg, Va. – The UNC Asheville women's soccer team dropped their final regular season match 2-0 at Liberty Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs were able to hold off the Flames' attack until the 60th minute when Gabrielle Farrell opened scoring on an assist from Isabella Habuda and Jennifer Knoebel.
Liberty extended to a 2-0 lead minutes later when the ball found the back of the net on a Bulldogs' own goal (65').
Asheville pushed forward to get on the scoreboard but failed to connect in the final third as the game ended 2-0 in the Flames' favor.
NOTABLES
-UNC Asheville compiled 10 shots throughout the match, seven of which were on goal.
-Goalkeeper Keller Dixon tallied eight saves on the day.
-Courtney Naber and Trent Paige led the attack for the Bulldogs, each attempting three shots throughout the match.
