CHARLESTON, S.C. – The UNC Asheville women's volleyball team fell on the road to the Buccaneers of Charleston Southern University in South Carolina Friday night.
The Bucs opened the match with a narrow win in the first set 25-22. The Bulldogs bounced back in set two, winning 25-18 before CSU took sets three and four (25-14, 25-15).
NOTABLES
-Asheville had three Bulldogs with double-digit kills, Madison Vaughn, Shelby Erickson and Cara Guthrie, each with 10.
-The Bucs and the Bulldogs were equally matched on defense, each recording 88 total digs. Madisen Zybert leading with 23.
-As a team, the Bulldogs hit .098 to CSU's .225.
