ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's volleyball team dropped a four-set contest to Charleston Southern inside the Justice Center on Tuesday afternoon.The match was CSU's fourth straight Big South Conference win this season.
The Bucs took the first two sets (25-19, 28-26) before Asheville came back to take the third set 25-21. CSU collected the victory on a 25-20 victory in set four.
NOTABLES
-Cara Guthrie led the Bulldog offense with a match-high 25 kills on 49 attempts (.367). Madison Vaughn was Asheville's most efficient attacker with nine kills and only one error on 18 attempts (.444).
-The Bucs out-dug the Bulldogs 52-45.
-Asheville and CSU were dead even in attacking percentage, each recording (.238).
-Madisen Zyburt collected the most digs for Asheville with 15.
-The Bulldogs out-blocked the Bucs 9-5, with Madison Vaughn picking up four block assists, the most of any Bulldog.

-The Bulldogs will continue play in the Justice Center with two home matches this weekend. On Friday, October 14, Asheville will host Winthrop University at 7:00 p.m., and then turn around to host High Point University on Saturday, October 15 at 4:00 p.m.
