ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville's women's basketball game scheduled for Saturday afternoon at High Point will be played, with game time moved back to 4:30 p.m. this afternoon.

The Bulldogs sit as part of a five-way tie at the top of the Big South Conference standings, while High Point is one game back from that group. Asheville has been off since last Saturday's home loss to Gardner-Webb, while High Point was a road winner on Wednesday night.

NOTABLES

Season of firsts: Asheville is in the middle of its most successful season so far under Coach Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick and her staff with 13 wins, and 12 games left to play in the regular season. A win for the Bulldogs against High Point on Saturday would also be a first for the current coaching staff. High Point has won the past seven meetings including handing the Bulldogs a second round loss in the 2014 Big South Conference Tournament.

Bulldogs Perfect on Paper: The Bulldogs lead the Panthers in eight out of ten statistical categories including: scoring offense, scoring defense, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, three-point percentage, field goal percentage defense, rebounding margin, and blocks per game. Asheville and High Point are tied in the remaining categories, assists per game (11.8) and steals per game (8.2).

Road Warriors: Asheville has only dropped one of its five conference contests on the road this season. The Bulldogs fell at Liberty on January 4 in the Vines Center, but has picked up road wins against Presbyterian, Coastal Carolina, Campbell and Charleston Southern.
