Bryant & Houmard Named to College Sports Madness? Big South First Team

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – College Sports Madness announced today that UNC Asheville seniors Hunter Bryant and Tommy Houmard are members of the organization's Big South All-Conference team.
Bryant was one of the top power hitters in the conference, finishing the year with a .340 batting average, tallying 12 doubles and 12 home runs while driving in 46 RBI. He tallied a .575 slugging percentage and recorded 448 putouts and a .989 fielding percentage at first base.
He finished his senior campaign in the top-10 of several conference categories; including hits, runs scored and RBI while leading the Big South in total bases (122) and was third in the league with his 12 home runs. His 12 homers are the most in a single season by an Asheville player since 2008. Bryant collected 22 multi-hit games in 2015, 15 multi-RBI games and tallied a 34-game reached base streak to end his career with the Bulldogs.
Houmard's final 2015 batting average sits at .361, as the senior started and played in all 55 Asheville games this season. He tallied 100 total bases, 30 RBI, eight doubles, four triples and two home runs while scoring 44 runs.
He finished his senior campaign third overall in the Big South Conference with a .361 overall batting average, and finished the year with the top average in conference play, boasting a .435 average as well as the best on-base percentage (.505) in league play.
