Daniel Kripak Selected to Big South All-Academic Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced its annual men's tennis award winners on Friday evening, with UNC Asheville's Daniel Kripak earning a spot on the league's All-Academic team.
Kripak, a junior from Ashdod, Isreal is an economics major who is also seeking a minor in Math. He boasts a 3.908 GPA and plays No. 1 singles on the court for Asheville. This season, he went 11-6 overall in dual matches and 9-3 in doubles play for the Bulldogs.
Radford senior Patrick O'Keefe (Salem, Va.) has been voted the Big South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year, while Liberty head coach Chris Johnson was tabbed the League's Coach of the Year by the Conference's head coaches, it was announced today by the Conference office. Campbell's Lukas Schaefer(Germany) was honored as Freshman of the Year, while the League's sports information directors voted Winthrop University senior Peter Nagovanak (Austria) as the Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Also announced Friday were the Men's Flight Winners, the All-Conference Singles and Doubles Award winners and the All-Academic Team. The Big South Conference Men's Tennis Championship begins Saturday at Asheville Racquet Club.
