ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville baseball team will play a mid-week game on Tuesday when the Bulldogs host Tennessee Tech at Greenwood Field starting at 4 p.m.
Tuesday's game will be video-streamed and can be seen on the Big South Network for free at this link.
Asheville (10-13) endured a tough weekend at home against Big South leader Coastal Carolina. The Chanticleers swept a three-game series with 12-4, 13-3 and 2-1 wins.
The Bulldogs face a Tennessee Tech squad that is 10-11 on the season and 4-5 in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Asheville plans to throw freshman left-hander Jordan Fullbright on Tuesday. The rookie left-hander is 3-0 on the young season with a 4.09 ERA. He has won all three of his mid-week starts during the year, including an 11-5 win over App State last Tuesday.
Joe Zayatz leads the Bulldogs at the plate with a .389 average. Senior first baseman Hunter Bryant hit three home runs last week and tops the Dogs in homers with five and RBIs with 14.
After Tuesday's game, Asheville start a nine-game road trip that begins at Wofford on Wednesday evening. The Dogs then go down the mountain for their first road conference series at Gardner-Webb this weekend (March 27-29).
