Weekend Forecast Alters Baseball Schedule

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - With the forecast calling for more snow in the Asheville area, the UNC Asheville baseball team has cancelled its weekend home series vs. NJIT and will instead travel to South Carolina to play in a 6 team round-robin style schedule this weekend.

With the new schedule, the Bulldogs will now take on Canisius College at 5:30 p.m. on Friday night before turning their attention towards NJIT for a Saturday morning matchup at 10:00 a.m. Later in the afternoon Saturday, Asheville will take on Morehead State at 1:00 p.m. before finishing the weekend with a 1:30 p.m. contest against NJIT on Sunday afternoon.

The Bulldogs' Friday and Sunday games will be played at the Lexington Sports Complex in Lexington, S.C. and their Saturday contests will take place in Sumter, S.C. at Riley Park.
