ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's basketball team begins its final road swing of the regular-season when the Bulldogs travel to Radford for a 7:00 p.m. contest against the Highlanders at the Dedmon Center on Tuesday evening.

Tuesday's game will be streamed live and can be watched for free on the Big South Network.

Asheville (7-20, 6-12 BSC) is in the midst of a four-game losing streak heading into the matchup with Radford.  The Bulldogs fell on Saturday in the home finale against Gardner-Webb 66-58.  The Blue & White never led in the ball game, but did rally late to trim a double-digit deficit to just five in the late moments of the game.  Chatori Major led the way, scoring 14 points off the bench.

"Radford has been one of the most consistent teams in our league this year on both ends of the floor. I have a lot of respect for what Mike McGuire has done with his team and the progress that they have made in a year," stated Bulldog coach Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick. "It was a great match-up when they came to Asheville a few weeks ago and I expect the same challenge on Tuesday."

Radford (16-11, 13-5 BSC) has won five of its last six, including a 67-43 victory over Campbell on Saturday afternoon.  In those wins, the Highlanders are holding their opponents to 51.2 points per game, while scoring 62.6 per contest.  RU narrowly defeated the Bulldogs at Kimmel Arena back in January, needing a bucket in the final 30 seconds to grab a 67-65 victory.

In the last meeting back on January 20, Shonese Jones was the leading scorer for the Bulldogs with 18 points, while Tianna Knuckles contributed 12 points.  Neither team led by more than eight points in a closely contested ball game which was decided in the final minute of play.  Asheville shot just 35.6 percent from the field in the ball game and 68 percent from the foul line, while Radford connected on 52 percent of its field goals and 70.6 percent at the charity stripe.

Jones is scoring 12.6 points per contest in league games this season for Asheville.  Knuckles is the team's second-leading scorer with 8.3 a game.  KJ Weaver leads the team in rebounding (129) and blocks (31).  Senior Brittany Gwyn has dished out a team-best 70 assists this season.

After Tuesday's contest, the Bulldogs will travel to Coastal Carolina for a 2:00 p.m. contest to wrap up the regular-season before turning around and making a return trip to Conway for the Big South Championships.  While full seeding has yet to be determined, the Bulldogs know they will face the Chanticleers again in the No. 8 vs. No. 9 matchup on Tuesday, March 3 at 6:00 p.m. in the first round of the conference tournament.
