ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville junior guard Tianna Knuckles has been named College Sports Madness' Big South Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the publication announced today. It is the second time this season the publication has honored Knuckles with the award.

The Wendell, N.C. native showed off her range in the Bulldog's home win against UNC Greensboro on Thursday night. All 15 of her points came from behind the arc, and she was a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point range in the first half. She finished the night shooting 55 percent from the field, adding six rebounds and two steals in 20 minutes of action.

Knuckles and the Bulldogs are 7-1 on the season and in the midst of a seven-game winning streak. They look to continue their best-ever start in the program's NCAA Era tonight on the road at Coastal Carolina. Bulldog fans can come to the Mission Health Mountain View Room on the concourse of the Wilma M. Sherrill Center and join tonight's Watch Party. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. in Conway.
