Coach Mock on Jordan-Brown:
"Brooke is a physical blue-collar post who has great fundamentals and a hunger to be the best basketball player she can possibly be. When we were evaluating post players this past summer we were impressed with her consistency of play, ability to finish with contact in the paint and run the floor. Post players that have her hands and footwork are hard to come by and we certainly became a better basketball team when we added Brooke to our roster for next season."
Zipporah “Zipp” Scott (Anderson, S.C./Belton-Honea Path HS) | 5-5 Guard
Member of the varsity team since seventh grade … Scored over 2,000 points in her high school career … Five-time All-Region Team selection … named the Region Player of the Year in 2013-14 … Independent Mail All-Area Player of the Year in 2013-14 and 2014-15 … holds multiple school records, including most points in a five-year span, most points in a season (546; 2013-14), most points in a game (43, 2013-14), most free throws in a game (20; 2013-14), highest free throw percentage in a game (15-15, 2013-14).
Personal: Owns a 4.46 grade-point average, ranking 14th out of 255 students in her high school … member of the National Honor Society ... member of the Beta Club
Coach Mock on Scott:
"Zipp will add to an already staunch core of guard returners in the 2016-17 season. She is a dynamic scoring guard who understands the game and makes everyone around her a better player. Although she has already scored 2,000 points in her high school career, what I am most impressed with is her defensive tenacity and focus on the game. She will be fun to watch next season."
