Brett Landau Named Big South Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UNC Asheville junior men's tennis player Brett Landau has been named Big South Player of the Week after his performance last weekend.
Landau helped the Bulldogs get off to their best start in 10 years as Asheville is 3-0 on the young season. This past weekend, he helped Asheville win two road matches, as the Bulldogs won 5-2 at Norfolk State and defeated East Carolina for the first time in school history on Sunday by a score of 4-2. Landau went 3-1 on the weekend in both singles and doubles. He posted straight set wins in singles against Norfolk State and East Carolina, and won the doubles point on Saturday against the Spartans with a 6-3 win.
Brett and the Bulldogs are back in action this weekend with two home matches. Asheville hosts UNC Greensboro on Saturday and Appalachian State on Sunday at the Asheville Racquet Club downtown. Both matches start at 3 p.m
