ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Coming off a home victory over Coastal Carolina on Saturday, the UNC Asheville women's basketball team heads out on the road to take on Liberty, Tuesday evening in a 7:00 p.m. contest at the Vines Center.

Tuesday's game will be video-streamed live and can be seen for free on ESPN 3.

Asheville (5-14, 4-6 BSC) fell to the Lady Flames, 67-55 back on December 30, at Kimmel Arena.  Sophomore Chatori Major led the Bulldogs with 11 points in the first meeting, while freshman Bronaza Fitzgerald added nine points and six rebounds.

The Blue & White are coming off a victory over Coastal Carolina on Saturday, 68-61 and have won two of the last three league games.  Junior Paige Love had a stellar all-around performance in the Bulldogs victory over Coastal.  Love recorded 10 rebounds, while adding eight points, five assists and four steals, topping her season averages in each category.  Liberty (13-6, 9-1 BSC) enters Tuesday's contest following a 64-40 victory over Campbell.

"We are starting the next round of conference games with a tough road test at Liberty,” said head coach Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick.  “I was proud of the way our girls responded Saturday and we are finding our rhythm as a team day by day. Liberty will present challenges for us in many facets of the game but most notably in the war on the boards. We need to find a way to neutralize their height advantage and shoot the ball a little bit better than we have been to give ourselves an opportunity to win."

Shonse Jones moved into seventh place on Asheville's all-time scoring list with 13 points against the Chanticleers.  The senior from Etowah, N.C. now has 1,241 career points, and is the Big South Conference's all-time active career leading scorer.  For the season, Jones leads the team with an 11.3 scoring average for the season and an average of 12.2 in league contests.

Liberty owns a 49-8 advantage in the all-time series with Asheville.  Last season the Bulldogs picked up an 83-80 overtime victory over the Lady Flames at Kimmel Arena.  The last win for the Blue & White at the Vines Center came on February 24, 2007.

Junior forward Ashley Rininger is Liberty's leader, averaging 11.7 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per game.  Senior guard Karly Buer leads the Lady Flames in scoring with a 12.4 scoring average.
