Men's Tennis Takes on Longwood in 1st Round of BSC Championship

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis team will be the eighth seed in this year's Big South Conference championship that will be held at Gardner-Webb University starting on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs will battle ninth-seeded Longwood in Tuesday's first round match starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday's winner will face Big South regular-season champion Presbyterian College Wednesday in the quarterfinals at 8 a.m.
A young Asheville team with no seniors on the roster went a deceiving 7-14 this year with a 1-7 BSC record. The Bulldogs lost five matches by a 4-3 score, including three in league play.
Asheville's lone BSC win was a 7-0 home triumph over Longwood back on March 1.
