Men?s Tennis Drops Conference Match To Highlanders, 6-1

RADFORD, Va. – Playing in their final road match of the season the UNC Asheville men's tennis team fell to Radford on Saturday afternoon, falling 6-1 in Big South Conference play.
With the win the Highlanders improve to 7-12 on the year with a 4-4 mark in the Big South while Asheville falls to 7-14 and 1-7 in league play.
Radford won the double point, winning the No. 2 and No. 3 flights to go up 1-0 in the match. Asheville's John Schubel and Thomas Panoulas won the No. 1 flight over Janken Thoen and Javier Waase 8-6.
In singles play Will Goldberg earned a 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) victory over Nico Ascarrunz at the No. 5 spot for the Bulldogs' lone point of the match.
