Elon Edges Men's Tennis, 5-2

ELON, N.C. - The UNC Asheville men's tennis team battled #47 Elon but the Phoenix outlasted the Bulldogs, 5-2.

Elon (3-1), fresh off a win over Duke, was able to get the doubles point and then earned four singles matches to pick up the non-conference victory.

Asheville (2-2) earned singles victories from #2 Thomas Panoulas and at #6 singles Josh Swindler.

The Bulldogs will play again on Sunday at home against Tennessee Tech at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown at 3 p.m.
