ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's basketball team returns to action on Tuesday evening at Kimmel Arena when it hosts the Liberty Flames at 7:00 p.m. in a Big South Conference tilt.
Tuesday's game can be seen for free on the Big South Network by clicking this link.

Asheville (3-8, 2-0 BSC) is looking to snap a four-game losing streak, while staying unbeaten in league play.  Liberty (6-5, 2-0 BSC) enters the matchup on a three-game losing streak itself, with all three losses against power five conference foes.  The Blue & White picked up a memorable 83-80 overtime victory at home against the Lady Flames a year ago.

"This is a great opportunity in our young conference schedule to face on of the best teams in the league." said head coach Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick.  "Our kids have learned a tremendous amount grinding through a tough non-conference schedule and we are also working towards having a complete roster available for the first time since the season started. I love having 14 healthy and able players who are competing to make each other better with one common goal. We are becoming a team that wants to get the job done and cares very little about who gets the credit. Developing a team first mentality has been one of our goals in changing culture here for the past two years and it's great to see not only the competition but the accountability and the positive energy in practice that we have had.  Liberty will be a tough test, but we are excited for the challenge"

The Bulldogs are looking to rebound from a 67-60 defeat at USC Upstate on December 21.  Asheville led the Spartans at the intermission but were unable to hold the lead.  Shonese Jones led the Blue & White on the afternoon with 20 points on 7-of-17 shooting, while Chatori Major added 15 points for the Bulldogs.

Jones leads the Bulldogs in scoring with a 10.4 scoring average.  Tianna Knuckles is next with 10.2 markers per contest.  Jeannie Bucker tops Asheville in rebounding with 6.5 boards per game.
