"We will be glad to be back in Kimmel Arena on Monday night in front of our friends to host Barton after a difficult road stretch," stated Bulldog coach Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick. "Our kids have grown tremendously in our first three games and we are looking forward to continuing that process and Monday night will be a great opportunity to show our growth and get back to playing UNC Asheville basketball."

Asheville (0-3) looks for its first win of the season and doesn't have much time to prepare as the Bulldogs lost at #25 South Florida Saturday afternoon, 97-53.

Barton is 1-3 on the young season and fell at USC Aiken Saturday afternoon, 62-51. This is the first ever meeting between the Asheville Bulldogs and Barton Bulldogs.

The Blue & White had a tough week last week playing two very good teams. Asheville lost at MEAC favorite North Carolina A&T on Tuesday, 64-47 before losing at South Florida on Saturday.

Sophomore guard Tianna Knuckles leads Asheville in scoring with a 9.7 mark. Paige Love is next with an 8.3 mark. KJ Weaver tops the club in rebounding with a 6.0 average.

Monday's game starts a stretch where the Bulldogs will play three of their next four games at home. Asheville is at North Carolina Central on Friday and is home next week to Charleston Southern (Dec. 1) and Wofford (Dec. 6).
