Men's Soccer Falls at Liberty, 3-1

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Liberty scored three unanswered goals in the first half as the Flames defeated visiting UNC Asheville 3-1 in Big South Conference men's soccer action at Liberty Field Saturday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (1-8-3, 0-4-2 BSC) struck early on a goal from Victor Aguiar to vault to a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute. It was the freshman forward's second goal of the season. Paul Egle earned his fourth assist of the year.
Asheville maintained a 1-0 lead for most of the first half before Liberty exploded for three goals in a 10-minute span late in the opening stanza.
The home team tied it up on a goal from Blessing Tahuona at 33:32 to knot the match at 1-1. LU took the lead for good on an unassisted goal from Sachern Wilson less than three minutes later at 36:19.
Liberty added another goal right before halftime when Tyler Bullock tallied at 43:04 off an assist from Kurt Meyers as LU led 3-1 at intermission.
The Flames out-shot the Bulldogs, 22-5. Asheville goalkeeper Dan Jackson made three saves in the first half before giving way to Zak Davis. Davis played the second half and made five saves and did not allow a goal.
UNC Asheville will host Massachusetts in a non-conference battle this Thursday afternoon starting at 5 p.m.
