HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky scored once in each half as the Norse downed UNC Asheville 2-0 in men's soccer action Wednesday night.
NKU (3-7-4) out-shot the Bulldogs 25-5 in the match. Asheville (1-7-3) goalkeeper Dan Jackson made eight saves to keep the Dogs within striking distance.
Ronald Moss put the Norse on top for good in the 33rd minute when he scored his second goal of year to put the home team in front, 1-0.
NKU put the game away midway through the second half when Caleb Eastham tallied his fourth goal of the season.
UNC Asheville will get to Big South Conference action on Saturday when the Bulldogs travel to Liberty at Noon.
