Men's Tennis to Face Longwood on Wednesday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville men's tennis team is seeded eighth for the 2013 Big South Conference tennis championships that will start on Wednesday and continue through Saturday.
The Bulldogs take on ninth-seeded Longwood in the opening round on Wednesday at 1 p.m. The winner of Wednesday's match faces top-seeded Coastal Carolina Thursday at 8 a.m.
Asheville is 10-9 on the season went 2-6 in league play. The Bulldogs lost four league matches by 4-3 scores.
“We have a little tougher road to win a championship by having to win four matches,” commented Bulldog coach Lise Gregory. “We've lost some awful close matches or we could have finished much higher.
“However, we know we can play with anybody,” added Gregory. “The Big South was as balanced and as close as I've ever seen. It should be a great tournament.”
