Todd Joyner Named Big South Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (www.BigSouthSports.com) - UNC Asheville junior outfielder/first baseman Todd Joyner (Lexington, S.C.) has been named the Big South Conference's Choice Hotels Baseball Player of the Week.

Joyner batted .583 (7-12) in leading the Bulldogs to a three-game sweep of High Point over the weekend.  He scored twice, knocked in five runs and tallied two doubles and one homer.  Joyner recorded multiple hits and at least one RBI in all three contests, while finishing with a 1.000 slugging percentage and .615 on-base percentage.  Joyner was 2-4 with two RBI in game one, 3-4 with two RBI in game two and 2-4 with an RBI in the finale -- helping Asheville to its most Conference wins (11) since 2004.
